The 2019 Global IPFS Innovation Development Summit and Hurricane Ecology Press Release was successfully held on August 18th at the Shenzhen Hilton Hotel in China. The conference was hosted by Hurricane Ecology, co-sponsored by Hong Kong Blockchain Association and China Commodity Association, Asian Blockchain Association and ONE.TOP Rating were the special support organizations of the event. With the theme of “The Innovative Development and Application of The Distributed Storage (IPFS) Industry”, the conference invited experts from the industry to gather around to discuss the appliance of the technology and share the latest information of the industry. At the same time, this conference also grandly released the industry’s new black horse — hurricane ecology in the field of IPFS.

The conference was opened by the co-founder and co-chairman of the Hong Kong Blockchain Association, Shi Zhu. He said: “IPFS truly solves the problem of the increasing data volume. Distributed storage (IPFS) (IPFS) technology will be a technological revolution that disrupts centralized storage.” . He said that the amount of data generated in one day has exceeded the sum of all data from the day human civilization was established until the year of 2000. Traditional centralized storage with a clear center is costly and easy to attack. Distributed storage (IPFS) (IPFS) relies on the network to use the disk space of each machine, and the distributed storage (IPFS) resources constitute a virtual storage device, thus avoiding the drawbacks of traditional centralized storage space restrictions, privacy and security. Most importantly, distributed storage (IPFS) can solve video surveillance storage problems and contribute to the social stability.

The next on stage was the “the Belt and the Road” Executive Secretary of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Council, Shengsheng Li. He said that in recent years, with the development and popularization of the internet, cloud computing, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, big data industry, the digitalization of various industries has developed rapidly, and various types of data have experienced explosive growth, bringing an unprecedented challenge to the traditional centralized storage. In the future data storage needs, distributed storage (IPFS) is undoubtedly a good prescription, and it is bound to lead a revolution towards a new era of big data. “In the future, I believe that Hurricane Ecology will go all out in technology development and ecological operations, and strive to build blockchain infrastructure for data storage, with video storage as the entrance, and establish a comprehensive data storage intelligent ecosystem for the development of distributed storage (IPFS).”

Subsequently, President Jinwei Qin of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Investment Promotion Association, said in his speech: “Blockchain as an emerging technology, has a bright future in Africa. It hopes to bring China’s emerging technologies to Africa and help the development of China-Africa relations.” He said also that keeping up with the times and the global trend, developing the China-Africa economy, strengthening Sino-African cultural exchanges, and consolidating the friendship between the Chinese and African people will be the common aspiration of the China and Africa.

The former director of Hunan TV Changlin Ouyang said in his speech: “With the impact of emerging technologies, traditional media needs to keep up with the trend of the times. The future development of science and technology must also require the media to spread the news and the two industries shall accomplish each other, and work together towards the future.” He also said that Hurricane Ecology has the confidence and ability to contribute to the development of the technology, not only in the high-tech industries such as big data, cloud storage, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, but also to help the media, the pan-entertainment industries to make changes.

As the last opening speaker, Chairman Gaolin Wu of the China-US Business Association mentioned: “The outbreak of information is no longer a new problem. Just storage is not enough to bring wealth, data should be selected, classified, and thus can produce value.” Only through the comprehensive use of mathematics, statistics, computers and other tools for big data analysis and classification, can big data generate value. “Emerging technologies should benefit the people and provide convenience to the people, not for self-interest.”

Before the guest lecture session, the host Hurricane Ecology invited the blockchain expert and former Microsoft (China) CTO Jiang Li to take the post as the chief technical consultant for Hurricane Ecology.

Then Jiang Li made a speech of “Distributed Storage (IPFS) (IPFS) Promotes Digital Transformation”: “The traditional ledger system is keen to centralization or approval and recording transactions through third parties. Distributed systems use distributed ledgers, which are safer without any intermediary.” Li Jiang compared the traditional centralized systems with the emerging distributed system in details. He said that distributed storage (IPFS) has many advantages such as superior performance, good scalability, low cost, and he prospected the appliance of distributed storage (IPFS) technology in home storage, video surveillance, enterprise storage, and data sharing.

Shiping Liu, the chief scientist of the Center for Financial Technology of the the Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered a keynote speech entitled “Storage and Security of Data in the Age of Big Data” right after. Liu said that in the new information age, information security threats are everywhere. The advantages of blockchain such as decentralization, transparency, non-destructive modification and high efficiency, bring incomparable safety to the data: “Blockchain is the youngest, most energetic and most promising one among the emerging technologies … Blockchain technology has become the main battlefield for the fourth technological revolution.” He concluded, “New Technology provides new opportunities for the development of information security, and the value of the data itself lies in the application, and the integration of data can make better use of its value.

Later, Can Zhang, the CEO of Hurricane Ecology, introduced the foundamentals and the latest development of the hurricane ecology. He introduced to the audience that Hurricane Ecology is a dual-layer intelligent ecosystem that provides comprehensive solutions for distributed data storage and processing and it’s a one-stop application development services. Hurricane Ecology has built a distributed storage (IPFS) intelligent ecosystem with video storage as the core, including Hurricane Storage, Hurricane Data Processing System, Hurricane Public Chain and Hurricane Incubator.

In his speech, he said that data is the cornerstone of the human society. From the primitive society to the digital age of today, data records the human civilization. And with the continuous development of emerging technologies such as 5G, the 4K and 8K HD video era is approaching. “Hurricane Ecology already has the technology precipitation, prepared to response, and it’s confident and capable of laying the foundation for the future digital world. Hurricane Ecology is a great cause of the future, correct and forward-looking.“ Can Zhang’s confident speech has aroused the audience’s warm applause.

Finally, Guan Chen, the president of the China Commodity Society and professor at the Renmin University of China, put forward the idea that in the era of Internet 2.0, blockchain allows people to see the progress of science and technology and the ugliness of human nature. He proposed that distributed storage (IPFS) should be promoted to private and small enterprises, so it can achieve the goal of benefiting the people. At the same time, he also pointed out that the future development of distributed storage (IPFS) is inseparable from infrastructure such as dedicated hardware paving, consensus incentive mechanism, and professional market value management.

After the speeches, the exciting signing ceremony was officially started. The signing ceremony was held between Hurricane Ecology and its partners: LON WONG, Founder & CEO of ProximaX; Siyuan Feng, the CEO of GDM, Junde Ma, COO of Sydney Stock Exchange; Kato Yuichi, the founder and CEO of CXR Research Institute; and Zichang Li from Australia Node Capital Co., Ltd. Can Zhang, the CEO of Hurricane Ecology, signed strategic contracts with the above mentioned on the stage. In the future, these enterprises will work together and complement each other. The exciting signing ceremony moment also means that the Hurricane Ecology has officially begun to enter a new stage, and will make more great actions in the future.

The theme of the panel section is “The Opportunities and Challenges Of Distributed Storage (IPFS) (IPFS)”. Siyuan Feng, the CEO of GDM, is the moderator; Jia Zhao, the COO of Hurricane Ecology; Zou Jun, CEO of Guangdian Express Blockchain and the Deputy Secretary General of Zhongguancun Blockchain Alliance; Zhang Xiang, the founder of ONE.TOP rating; Yasuda Wada, Singapore SkyBridg Holdings CEO & a blockchain senior investor of Japan; Kato Shinichi, Japanese famous financial blockchain commentator and analyst & the founder and CEO of CRX Institute; Junde Ma, Sydney Stock Exchange COO; Jianqiang Wang, External Director of China Aviation Industry Corporation Limited and the former president of China Banking Group Risk Management Headquarters, jointly discussed the physical appliance of distributed storage (IPFS) technology and the future development trends and risks.

At the round table, Jia Zhao said that in today’s information society, distributed storage (IPFS) is not only an opportunity but also a challenge. The development of distributed storage (IPFS) is still in its infancy, but its potential is unlimited. Hurricane Ecology will seize the opportunity to contribute to distributed storage (IPFS) with partners from all kinds of industries.

Jun Zou mentioned that storage is the most difficult problem in transmission, computing, and internet storage technologies. Storage will be an eternal problem, and distributed storage (IPFS) will become a major breakthrough in solving storage problems. “The future is not just about data and the digitization of assets, but also distributed storage (IPFS) is needed.”

Xiang Zhang agreed and said: “Traditional centralized storage has the fatal drawback of high cost, emerging technologies such as 5G will bring more complete data storage solutions.” In the future, all assets can be digitized and tokenized. With the improvement of computing power, the improvement of the public chain and the gradual opening up of data, everyone will become a participant, contributor and profiter of the blockchain ecosystem. However, he also suggested that because IPFS adopts a point-to-point distributed network, bypassing HTTP and bypassing the domain name, which will inevitably attract the attention of the regulatory authorities. For the underlying system of IPFS, the high probability will be limited on the application side, and will not touch the underlying system.

Yasuda said that “Japan is currently in a blind spot in storage technology, so distributed storage (IPFS) technology has a broad market and development prospects. Due to the scandals in the history of the development of blockchain in Japan, Japan’s laws on distributed storage (IPFS) are very strict.”

Kato Yuichi said that Japan has gradually attached importance to emerging technologies such as blockchain. He came to the conference this time to exchange and learn the emerging distributed storage (IPFS) technology, and bring it back to Japan, and promote the development of Japan’s blockchain industry.

Junde Ma reviewed the development of the blockchain and said, “The essence of the blockchain is encryption and distributed storage (IPFS). The bottleneck is also the response speed problem. If the computer power is improved, it will directly improve the experience of users.” He also proposed that distributed storage (IPFS) has evolved into a mainstream role in the storage market, and predicts that the future will completely reverse the storage market.

Jianqiang Wang agreed with this, “IPFS is a combination of computing power and storage technology.” With the rapid development of software and hardware, distributed storage (IPFS) will become an emerging new technology in the future. “distributed storage (IPFS) has the potential to replace traditional storage methods,” because distributed storage (IPFS) has the characteristics of low cost and high security compared to traditional storage methods.

Finally, Siyuan Feng concluded: “distributed storage (IPFS) is the trend of future.” He said that in the digital age, the amount of data is rising, storage methods need to be innovative, and distributed storage (IPFS) will lead the next era of blockchain.

The discussion of the experts is closely related to the distributed storage (IPFS) industry. On the panel, the ideas were superimposed and colliding with the wisdom of the industry. The audience applauded constantly.

After the Global IPFS Innovation Development Summit and the Press Release of Hurricane Ecological, a light show accompanied the participants into the Gala Dinner hosted by Hurricane Ecology-authorized hardware manufacturer — Owl Wind Technology.

Sunny Zhao, a famous blockchain commercial architect, gave a speech at the dinner and put forward the idea that “the storage market is facing a test, distributed storage (IPFS) will solve the problem of information explosion, privacy and security, and thus become a new generation of storage methods”, he also predicts the future network storage must rely on secure, efficient and reliable IPFS technology. At the end of the speech, we also introduced Owl Wind Technology’s next-generation information storage hardware–Hurricane Mining Machine: Global nodes can reward users by contributing storage space to encourage users to provide memory. In the future, Owl Wind Technology will build a decentralized distributed data storage network using mining machines distributed around the world.
