FTP+ will further innovate its current interview format, focusing on key policy interpretation and the overseas promotion of the Hainan FTP in more diverse ways and better serving the investment promotion and business environment optimization interests of the island, says Rong Jia, Deputy CEO to HIMC. According to the agreement, the “FTP+ Communications Officers” will give full play to their respective parks’ unique advantages and will cooperate with FTP+ in publishing news about their park, integrating communication channels, and boosting international communications to give their respective parks an authoritative voice, offer more in-depth and varied tidbits, highlight exemplary investment cases, and jointly tell the story of the Hainan FTP.

In more than two hours of face-to-face communication, attendees exchanged views on Hainan FTP construction and industry development, relating real stories and cases that showcase developments and achievements within their respective industries.

Aided by the favorable policies and financial support of the FTP, Ausca International Oils and Grains Co., Ltd.—the first enterprise to enjoy the FTP’s zero-tariff policy on goods produced in Hainan from intermediary materials where the value of such materials has increased by 30% or more following processing—has achieved remarkable results in factory construction and corporate profitability. It took Ausca just half a year to move from the official start of construction to the commissioning of its first packaged oil production line, creating an industry record for the fastest factory construction in the world, according to Zhang Hui, Chairwoman of the company on her presentation. By the end of 2021, the same year operations commenced, output value had exceeded one billion yuan, while in 2022, output value increased to nearly 2.5 billion yuan, a growth of 150% over 2021.

Another star enterprise, Bloomage Biotech, instigated a revolutionary breakthrough in the hyaluronic acid industry and has ranked among the global industry’s largest enterprises for R&D, production, and sales for 15 years running. Thanks to assistance from provincial and municipal departments, accessibility to resources, and various preferential policies covering areas such as taxation and talents, the park opened for trial production in just over a year, and the company’s France-based production line was successfully brought to Hainan. Such a story is a vivid testament to the speed of the FTP, says Ding Ke, General Manager of Bloomage Biotech Hainan.

Launched on August 30, 2020, FTP+ is HBS‘s first high-end interview program to win first prize at the Hainan News Awards and the Hainan Provincial Radio and Television Awards, both in the same year. Following the reform and integration of Hainan Daily and HBS, FTP+ programming now falls under HIMC. This newly formed media organization is considered as a rare and innovative case of integration and reform and overseas communications at a provincial level. FTP+ is committed to creating a window through which China and the world can keep up with the cutting-edge trends of the Hainan FTP, broadcasting more than 150 installments since its launch, says Rong Jia. Data shows that starting in March 2022, more than 2,500 Hainan financial articles including FTP+ have been published on Twitter to date, garnering 5.31 million views and 64,000 interactions.

Rong believes that FTP+ should continue consolidating its high-quality international communications branding, utilizing its 30-plus media accounts to achieve the broadest possible coverage for its bilingual programming. It remains committed to being a window for attracting investment and talent to Hainan, recording the developments and changes in Hainan, and conveying new opportunities for the construction of the Hainan FTP to the world, adds Rong.
